Introduction

Nothing will happen without communities.

Environmental health requires a profound change in our lifestyles and consumption patterns. It also requires a good understanding of local situations.

In order for communities to be involved in health actions, it is necessary to develop education programmes but also to develop local democracy approaches allowing people to become actors of their own change.

This session will present different initiatives involving local communities
